Construct and Describe simple loci.
WALT construct and describe simple loci.
I learnt how to find the area and circumference of circles.
Something I found challenging was the extended absract task. We also had to do a similaries and differences map.

Convert between metric units using decimals.
In Maths we have been learning………..
Convert between metric units using decimals.
Converting is part of our Number Knowledge.
It is important to just know these as we can use this knowledge when we are solving measurement problems.
Here is a link to our online modelling book.
Here are the IXL screenshots that show evidence of my learning.
Here is link to my Ski Jump problem solving activity answer sheet.

WALT: relate tables, graphs, and equations to linear and simple quadratic relationships found in number and spatial patterns- Maths
WALT: relate tables, graphs, and equations to linear and simple quadratic relationships found in number and spatial patterns.
Assessment Task: A car rental business has two rental schemes, red and blue for rentals up to ten days. These schemes are advertised in their brochures with this graph.
Use the following information to work out how many days of rental would carry the same total cost on either the blue or the red scheme (show your working).
- The area under the graph gives the total cost of renting.
- The schemes each follow a linear pattern, cutting the vertical axis at 120 and 170.
- Both blue and red schemes cost $110 on the 4th day of rental.

Maths - Generalise the properties of operations with fractional numbers and integers
WALT: Generalise the properties of operations with fractional numbers and integers.
Something I found challenging was the ixl task Multiply and Divide Rational Numbers.
Something I learnt was how to divide fractions, you flip the second fraction around.

Maths: Form and Solve linear and simple quadratic equations.
WALT: Form and Solve linear and simple quadratic equations.
This is the task: Painting Triplets. Pania,Henare and Matui are triplets. Henare can paint a room by himself in 3 hours. His sister Pania can do it in 4 hours. Their brother Matui would take 6 hours on his own.
If they all work together and don't get in each others way, how long would the job take.
It was very hard. Mr Ladbrook helped me. This is our working out:
The answer is 1.3 hours.
